The Forex Sessions Indicator on MetaTrader 5 is designed to display the four forex trading sessions (Sydney, Tokyo, London, and New York) directly on the price chart. Also available on the MT4 platform, it helps traders identify the lower and higher volatility market periods, allowing them to make more informed trading decisions.

The Forex Sessions (F.S) Indicator identifies the start and end of the major trading sessions: Sydney, Tokyo, London, and New York. This indicator allows traders to visually recognize when these markets are open, making it easier to understand when volatility and liquidity are likely higher or lower.

Moreover, by observing these market sessions, traders can better time their trades as volatility is typically higher during the opening and closing times of these periods, which can present both opportunities and risks.

- Trading during high liquidity period: The most active trading times usually occur during the intersection period between the London and New York sessions, offering the most price movement and liquidity.

- Avoid low-liquidity periods: During the Tokyo and Sydney sessions, the market tends to be less volatile, especially during the early hours. This could be a good time for scalping or waiting for more favorable conditions.

- Time your entries: Day and swing traders often use this indicator to plan their entries at the beginning of the London session and exit before the market closes for the New York session to profit from the mid-day momentum.

It is highly recommended to use this indicator alongside the technical analysis indicators, which are available on our platform for FREE, to make accurate entry and exit points.

1- In the first trading example, as shown on the MT4 chart, the Forex Sessions indicator highlights the start and end times of each session. As observed, the early hours of the Sydney and Tokyo sessions typically experience low volatility, acting as consolidation sessions where traders can wait for a good setup to enter the market, preparing for the upcoming sessions. Once the London session begins, volatility increases, presenting a distribution phase for the GBPCHF pair.

Toward the opening of the New York session, extreme high volatility is detected, signaling a long entry as a potential accumulation may begin. In this case, traders can make a profit in several minutes if they make the best trade decisions. When the market begins to reverse, traders should exit their positions cause with this high volatility, they can lose profitable positions in several minutes as well.

2- In the second trading example, as presented on the MT5 chart, the Forex Sessions indicator highlights the start and end times of each session. As observed, the early hours of the Sydney and Tokyo sessions typically experience low volatility, acting as consolidation periods where traders can wait for a good setup to enter the market, preparing for the upcoming sessions. Once the London session starts, volatility increases, showing a distribution phase for the EURUSD pair.

Toward the opening of the New York session, extreme high volatility is detected, signaling a long entry as a potential accumulation may begin. In this case, traders can make a profit in several minutes if they make the best trade decisions.
